Thomas Frick when asked in Concept Artist for advice to other artists said:                                                                Be curious and keep trying to improve your self with what you see. And most importantly, don't fear the future!               How so very true. I have been freelance traditional artist for 40 years and consider the above my mantra. I learn something new every painting session and with almost every art book or magazine I read.

Hi! Welcome to DeviantArt!
Just had a look at your gallery, and I must say, your paintings are amazing!
The clouds are especially awe-inspiring, but the mountains as well.
I hope you find your time on dA inspirational and get welcomed within the community
Thanks for complement. I will tell you at length sometime how I got to be a cloud painter. There is a reason. If you want to know, ask. Interesting how people get sent in a direction. And yes the community is being welcoming to me.
Oh, I would love to hear about it! I always love to find out what motivates other artist.
When I was a child in England we lived in an industrial town near Liverpool. We were in a small house exactly like every other house in the street. The view from my bedroom window was of grimy rooftops and .....Clouds. I watched them for hours. Watching them form into different shapes. Then I came to Canada, the land of huge sky's. I live in a rural part and I can go stand in the fields and have a 360 view of the clouds. This summer was a good summer for thunderstorms and one day I could see 5 different storms going on. I took about 300 photos. They were changing constantly. You see some of the results in my gallery. I put in foregrounds from many locations.
